Council met in Special Session at the call of Mayor Sulzer pursuant to written Notice dated and delivered June 2, 2010, for the purpose of considering one item of legislation described in the Notice, with the following eight members present: Ames, Cross, Malone, Patrick, Proehl, Sharp, Siberell and Trutschel. (Mrs. Lester absent.) There were 2 visitors present, in addition to Mayor Sulzer.

Mrs. Malone moved and Mr. Trutschel seconded that Council excuse the absence of Mrs. Lester. All members present voted “yea” and Pres. Arnold declared the motion adopted.

Ord. No. 53-10 appropriating $32,500.00 as the city’s ten percent (10%) match to the 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grant awarded to the city, and declaring an emergency was read for the second time by title only. Mr. Proehl moved and Mr. Siberell seconded that the three reading rule be suspended, placing this item on final passage. All members present voted “yea” and Pres. Arnold declared the motion adopted. All members present then voted “yea” on the item itself, and Pres. Arnold declared Ord. No. 53-10 adopted.

Mrs. Ames moved and Mr. Siberell seconded that the Special Meeting be adjourned. All members present voted “yea” and Pres. Arnold declared the motion adopted. Adjourned at 5:33 p.m.
