Shelter Houses can be reserved for reunions parties, and other special events for a fee of $30.  Shelters are reserved on a first come first served basis.  All reservations must be made in person. 
NO RESERVATIONS WILL BE TAKEN BY PHONE.  Please DO NOT remove tables from the shelter and leave the shelter as you would like to find it.  * Denotes Electricity

Amvets*
This shelter is located behind the tennis courts, next to the playground parking lot in Yoctangee Park.  It contains 4 picnic tables, a grill and has electricity.
 
Annex Lions
This shelter is located in the Yoctangee Park Annex.  It contains 4 picnic tables, a grill but not electricity.
 
Eagles Bandstand*
This recently renovated pavilion is located in Enderlin Circle near Yoctangee Lake.  The bandstand does not contain any tables but does have electricity. 
 
Big Lions*
This shelter is located in Enderlin Circle near Yoctangee Lake.  It contains 13 picnic tables, has a grill, and electricity.  This is the largest shelter in Yoctangee Park.
 
Bolmer Field*
This shelter is located adjacent to the Municipal Swimming Pool parking lot.  It contains 5 picnic tables, a grill and has electricity. 
 
Easter Seals (Handicap)
This shelter is located beside the Pump House Center for the Arts.  It contains 5 picnic tables, a grill but no electricity.
 
Heilman
This shelter is located behind the Municipal Swimming Pool, near the sand volleyball courts.  It contains 7 picnic tables, has a grill but no electricity. 
Oldaker
This shelter is located across from the Pump House Center for the Arts.  It contains 4 picnic tables, a grill but no electricity.
Little Lions*
This shelter is located in front of the Big Lions shelter in Enderlin Circle near Yoctangee Lake.  It contains 6 picnic tables, has a grill and electricity.
 
Poland Park*
This park is located on the corner of Hickory St. and West Fifth St.  The shelter house has 3 picnic tables, a grill and electricity.
 
Southern Playground*
This park is located on the corner of Seventh St. and Walnut St.  The shelter house has 3 picnic tables, a grill and electricity.
 
Strawser Park
This park is located on the east side of the Pedestrian/Bikeway Corridor.  The shelter contains 2 picnic tables, a grill but no electricity.
 
Rotary*
This shelter is located at the intersection of Enderlin Circle and Alexander Road, near Yoctangee Lake.  It contains 8 picnic tables, a grill and electricity.
 
Manor Park*
This shelter is located in Chillicothe Manor off of North Bridge St, next to the Hampton Inn.  The shelter has 4 picnic tables, a grill and electricity.
 
Kiwanis Shelter*
(William “Doc” Garrett) shelter is located on the west side of Yoctangee Lake near the stage.  It contains 8 picnic tables, a grill and has electricity. 

Shelter houses are very heavily used from May through October.  The Parks & Recreation Department regrets that we do not have a large enough staff to clean the shelters daily after each event.  If you are planning an event in one of the shelters we ask that you visit it a day prior to be sure of the location and amount of tables available to you.  We ask that you do not move tables from other shelters or from park grounds because reunions and picnics are most likely planned for those areas also.  We appreciate your help in keeping the areas clean.  If you find a problem with one of the shelters please contact the Parks & Recreation office at 740-772-5626.
